July 15th- We left Petaluma and got Tao's French passport business lined up first thing Monday morning, hurray, he is officially French! Then we hung out with Miko, Olivier et Fefe at their house a block away from the ocean in SF. Brendan sailed my parents's boat down to Half Moon Bay with Olivier, and then we all eventually met up at the boat, hit the Half Moon Bay Brewpub, spent a little more time at the house, and went camping for two nights with Miko in Santa Cruz! The plan was to surf, but because of lack of waves and lack of young crew desire to get on the board in the water, "surfing" per say, did not quite happen, but we still had a ton of fun, on the beach and camping! Brendan found a steam train while running, so Sky and Miko took a one hour train ride thru the redwoods to the beach! Super fun for little dude! We also found a super sweet spot by the river, and spent half a day playing in the water. The it was July 19th: TAO'S BIRTHDAY!!!!! So we headed back to San Francisco,m where we met up with Maja and Michel, Miko and Olivier, to celebrate baby's big day! Yahoo little man, one year, party! That week-end we met up with friends, climbed, and then got ready to boogie to Washington for Brendan's race in a few days!!!
15 Juillet- On est partis de Petaluma, direction le consulat. pour s'occuper du passeport de tao: ca y est, Tao est officiellement Francais, victoire! On a passe un peu de temps avec Miko, Olivier et Fefe dans leur maison et super jardin a une rue de la plage. Brendan a fait une journee de convoyage de bateau avec Olivier pour amener le bateau au port de Half moon Bay, a leur nouvelle "maison"! On les a ensuite rejoint, et Sky a beaucoup aime les bateaux de peche, et les phoques. Il se penchait par dessus bord et criait "phoques, phoques!" qui a l'oreille americaine sonne tout comme "fuck, fuck!" .... Sous le regard des pecheurs! C'est pas grave, il est mignon quand meme :P On est alles camper a santa Cruz deux jours avec Miko, trouve une super petite plage, Sky a ete dans un vrai train a vapeur (une promenade d'une heure dans la foret avec sa grand mere!), et on avait dans l'idee de faire du surf. Cela dit, due au manque de vagues et a la peur de Sky des vagues, "surfer" a proprement parler n'a pas vraiment ete un succes, mais on a bien rigole avec la planche sur la plage, ca compte quand meme! Apres ca, c'etait le 19 juillet: L'ANNIVERSAIRE DE TAO!!!!!! On est donc rentres en ville a San Francisco, pour celebrer avec Janis & Michel et Corine & Olivier, et feter bebe! Un an deja petit loulou, woo-hoo! Ensuite week-end en ville, et direction le Washington pour la course de Brendan qui approche dans quelques jours!!!
