Pool in the yard

Home sweet home! Summer in Boulder is sooo nice. Brendan is at work, and I am home with our little guy. It is super hot, so I got a little inflatable piece of crap pool to dunk Sky, and he loves it! I put the pool, just outside our deck, in the grass, and it was pretty sweet!

Denver Botanical Gardens

We went to see the plants with Audrey in Denver! and tonight Sky was tired...

Brandi and Jeremy!!

Yay!! Brandi and Jeremy made it to Colorado from Idaho... and got Sky a pretty cool onesie... which says "I only tie my shoes to climb 5.13"!!!!!

EURO TRIP 2011!!!

We just got back from a 6 week trip to Greece and France. We started in Greece, climbed in Kalymnos for 3 weeks, then flew to France. Greece was amazing, we had some really nice days just the three of us, and met a Canadian couple with kids, with who we split climbing days: the dads in the morning, and the moms in the afternoon! We have to go back with a sailboat ;) The climbing is amazing, tuffas, tuffas and more tuffas, and the island is small and sweet, with perfect beaches for Sky :). We flew to paris, visited my grandma, then drove to Gap, and climbed in ceuse, then on to Valence to visit some friends, the Montpellier to see my friend Lucie and her 1 yo JUSTIN, with whom Sky partied! Then we swang by Brendan's aunt's house in Montalivet, near Bordeaux, and swang by Soulac for more family action... Then up to nantes to pick up my brother, and to Vannes to see my grand-parents. The finally headed back to Paris to fly back to Boulder!! Sky is just the baby we wanted: perfect little traveler, super happy all the time, and so fun to be with!! I split the pictures in different posts, by city! ENJOY!! xoxo -Chloe

Montalivet (Bordeaux)

We drove to Bordeaux from Valence, to visit Chantal, Brendan's aunt. We also saw Lionel and Alexandra, Brendan's cousins. Lionel's kiddo, Ethan, showed us how he rocks the bike, and we ad lunch at Lionel's on the port in Soulac. We ran on the beach, and let Sky have it in the sand, the weather was perfect for the beach!

Ceuse (Gap)

This was our French climbing destination. We rented a room in a Gite, La grange aux loups, and spent a week climbing in this awesome place. We met up with Ethan, a friend from the States, and hiked up with baby about an hour uphill every climbing day, but it was absolutely worth the sweat! The weather turned to rain the last few days, so we will have to go back :)) Brendan and Ethan retrieved gear in the rain, but the two seemed to actually have enjoyed the wet rodeo session!!

Valence

We went to Valence to visit some friends, Corinne et Duduche. We went to see the work of a crazy french postman, who spent 33 years building a trippy palace, by hand: son palais ideal. We ate awesome food, ran along the Rhone and in the forest, and even barbecued thanks to Duduche, despite the crappy weather! Sky gave Corinne & Duduche a sneak peak at being grand-parents, and tested out the sweet baby bed they kept from when their boys were little... good old little bed!

Vannes

We swang by Vannes, to see my grand-parents, Papou & Mamou, and picked up my brother on our way to Brittany. We ate crepes and apple cider in Nantes, and visited Arthur's sweet little art expo in a bookstore. We then headed over to Vannes for a couple of days. Sky met more family, spent some sweet time with his uncle, and celebrated his 9 months birthday with a gift from his great-grandma! We also all went and had a nice lunch "Chez Edgar" :)
